Relocation

After some tinkering, I've decided to shift my operation over to Wordpress.

Of course, in the months or years to come, I might return to Livejournal or Blogger. But in the meantime, the new domain is here:

Diversión en Barcelona

What happens in Barcelona, stays in Barcelona, eh?

Well, that doesn't hold true on the blog, The sights are amazing, such as:

A big giant dog.

Great food.

And from the above, to...

...this, BBQ rabbit meat.

Once again, this is another test posting for the various blogs under my name.

The Zara Whore

I hate going to town.

Even though one of the Zara blazers cost me S$128 when it's original price is S$228.

And a pair of comfy jeans that set me back by $69.90, with it's original price at S$129.90.

While I walked to the train station, I passed by Pedro. And saw this sweet looking pair of brown leather shoes that cost S$113. And swiped my card once more for it.

This is why I hate going to town. I just whacked S$300 which I could have used to buy a bigger HDTV. Damn it.

On an Interstellar Flight with Ranka Lee

And two weeks into the absence of a vehicle, there's a definite new found freedom. Freedom to drink without wondering if I can just because I'm driving. As it is, last night was the first in a long time since I enjoyed that much drinks.

One Vodka 7-Up
One Chivas Regal shot.
One Vodka Raspberry shot.
Three Chivas on the Rocks.

Mmmmm.

Peeves of the Day

Peeve #1

There's a missing microSD card. Which was inside a test device. Some people were playing with it. I connected the device to test something, to realize there's no microSD card inside. I have another missing microSD card.

Yes, another. My own microSD card was missing just a few weeks back, and I am not very happy that I have missing microSD cards. Really not happy.

Peeve #2

I was happily feeding my obessive compulsive behavior and was grinding my characters in The World Ends with You. To my right, I have this kid who kept on staring at the game.

Fine. That's ok.

He started to fall asleep, and he's a swinging sleeper. His head started swinging left and right, and kept on landing on me. Every damn fucking station, I nudged him and jabbed him.

That's still fine.

As I jabbed him for the umpteen time, I noticed this woman sniggering at me jabbing at him. And I snapped. I stared at her. For a whole long minute. And went back to my game.

Seriously. The world is full of mother fucking idiots.

Taking the Red Pill, Farewell Matrix

Posting just to put another picture of my Revoltech YF-19 in.

For the record, I love my job. Yes, the perks are good. Free lobster lunch. Free booze. Free movies. And come September, apparently we are receiving even more benefits in the form of a transport allowance. Invitations to fly to Kuala Lumpur or Beijing for a media event. Both of which I've rejected. Mainly because I'm really stretched out with the amount of work that's waiting for me to clear.

And to top it off, the next two months will be such a relief. The Hyundai Matrix has finally been sold, after so many months of deliberation and money sucking from the exorbitant rising oil prices. Now, I have more time to grind my Neku and Joshua in The World Ends With You on the MRT, and having more money to feed myself instead of the stupid car.

Two months only. Until my brother's Honda Accord comes under my care when he flies to the States for 9 months of studies. Which will be a whole buttload of money spent on:

1. Road tax.
2. Insurance
3. Fuel (which will be offset by the transport allowance)

Not to mention the amount of red packets I'll be packing starting from the month of September. Seriously. I need a Sugar Mommy.

Isamu Within

After so many months of abstinence from toy purchasing, I've succumbed to it once more in the form of this:

The Revoltech YF-19. There's also another one, the VF-1S.

Damage? A measly $35 for both. And I'm going to get two others, the YF-21 and VF-1J, later after work.

Oh, and in other news. Today marks the start of a series of weddings that I'll be attending. Well, the one that I attended today is, legally speaking, a wedding, since it is a solemnization ceremony which bound two people to each other as husband and wife by law, and thus are known as Mr. and Mrs. Lim from now on.

All the angst I had as seen here and there, I think I'm going to attribute it to the shit load of Panadol Extra I've been taking to ward the fever off till I got some work done. Why?

Because, I downed 4 more Panadol Extras today, and moronically drove, thinking since drowsiness isn't part of the package, driving should be fine.

Until I almost crashed into two cars while I changed lanes. And also, when a cab refused to let me change lane, I chased after the cab and high beamed him. And when someone was trying to cut into my lane, I horned him, slowed down, let him change lane, then I high beamed him, changed lane and zoomed off.

Oh hey, is rage a side-effect from the Panadol Extra? I have no idea. ^_^

Proof of Labour

There's one more article, Nokia Connection, which got bumped off because of the ferocity at which I was writing and publishing the articles.

Two days. Five articles. Late hours.

It's 1:09am and I'm still in the office. I'm heading home.

To the Nyan Nyan Frontier!

The Macross Frontier OST - Nyan Furo is officially released.

I'm going to indulge myself a bit with a whoop-ass of otaku geekiness in the moe fashion.

My personal take: I decided it's worth the time for me to actually discuss about an OST. And frankly, I think not many will really make sense of this blog post, but I feel like a lean mean writing machine right now (yeah, weeks of writing in the office till 10 plus does get to you).

Ok, back to Earth. The magic of the OST is actually found in the first three songs by Sheryl Nome, dubbed as the On Stage version. Basically, Yoko Kanno made the wise move in mixing the actual track with an overlay of audience cheering and clapping to the beat as what one can experience during a live concert. More importantly, the three songs (namely Welcome to My Fan Club, What 'bout my Star and Iteza * Gogo Kuji Don't be Late) were so tight in the transitions, it brings an element of a fast and furious beat to the concert that you will be experiencing.

Of course, not forgetting the young and budding Ranka Lee, as sung by Nakajima Megumi. Her renditions of What 'Bout my Star and her very own Aimo tracks brings a very fresh spin to the fast-paced songs as heard on Sheryl Nome's (sung by May'n) tracks.

Yoko Kanno is once again in her element with her other background tracks, which has been heard on and off over the span of the anime up to its 9th episode. Tracks such as Big Boys and Private Army provides a very strong and gung-ho theme, with a tint of military backgrounder that's part and parcel of the space opera theme of the Macross universe interspersed with the pop culture songs.

In short, I <3 this OST to the [Infinity] - By Sheryl Nome
